In 2012 we acquired five (5) pallets of used electrical panels and circuit breakers from a school district auction which came out of a high school that was torn down in 2010 shortly after students were let out for the summer. Approximately $41 million (school bond) was allocated to rebuild the high school as it would have cost considerably more to do a seismic upgrade.

Based on year manufactured and removal from the school this breaker may have been used for up to about 8 years.

Under appropriate conditions life expectancy for molded case circuit breakers in the industry is generally expected to be about 30-40 years (Google Info).
