THESE DRAWER SLIDES ARE DESIGNED WITH A CURVE IN THE MIDDLE

As can be seen in the pictures these slides are angled (they have a bend in the middle). This is so that the drawers self-close. When the drawer is more than half-way open the drawer stays open, but when the drawer is less than half-way open it gently self-closes. This is achieved by installing the slides such that the rear halves of the drawer mounted slides are level with the ground, and the front halves rise at an upward angle -- while the cabinet mounted slides have equal upward angles in front and rear.
